MEC Application

The MEC application is a handy tool designed to easily crypt and decrypt all sorts of files, whether it's a .doc, .exe, .jpg, or something else. It’s super simple and made for anyone who needs quick security for their files.

How Does MEC Work?

This app uses a special crypting and decrypting method that I created myself. Honestly, I can't guarantee how safe it is just yet, but it does make your files unreadable or unexecutable—and that's exactly what we want!

Why Choose MEC?

I came up with this tool because most other programs were either too complicated or way too big. Plus, they often required installation. My version is small enough to be used anywhere you want to put it!

Easy Steps to Crypt Files

Coding a file is super easy:

1. Select the file(s) you want to crypt by clicking the Load sourcefile button. You can choose multiple files by holding down the SHIFT key.


2. If you pick multiple files, the destination names will look like this: “destinationname_ORIGINAL NAME_MEC”. The crypted files will go into your chosen folder or device.


3. Select where you want those files saved by clicking on the choose destination button.


4. Finally, hit the code file button to get started!

Your Decrypt Key

Once you've crypted your file, you'll get a decode key. Make sure to keep this key safe! You need it to decrypt your file later on. If you lose it, there’s no way to unlock your file again.

How to Decrypt Files

The decryption process is just as easy:

1. Select your crypted file using the load sourcefile button.


2. Select your destination folder with the choose destination button.


3. Enter your decrypt key in the white field above the progress bar.


4. Punch that decode file button!
