Marquee Plus is a cool screensaver that takes the classic Scrolling Marquee screensaver from Windows and adds some neat features to it. If you think seeing the same message over and over might get dull, then this software is just what you need!

End Boredom with Multiple Messages

With Marquee Plus, you can choose not just one message but a whole bunch! Thanks to the 'Message File' option, you can pick any text file on your computer, and Marquee Plus will randomly select lines from it for your display. It keeps things fresh by changing the message every so often, so boredom is out of the picture!

Sequential and Random Display Options

You can even have Marquee Plus show messages in order from your files instead of picking them at random. Want to showcase some poetry or multi-lined info? You can divide your files into sections, and it’ll display each section’s messages in order before moving on to another section.

Add Fun with Angled Text

This software lets your chosen text scroll at different angles across the screen. So instead of just going horizontally all the time, you get a bit of variety!

Network Communication Feature

If you're part of a TCP/IP network (like most office setups), Marquee Plus can connect with other computers running it too. When your screensaver kicks in, you'll see not only your own messages but also those from up to twenty other computers on your network!

Create Private Groups with Channels

You have options when communicating over the network. Choose one of 21 channels so that you only receive messages from others using the same channel as yours. This way, you and your coworkers can set up private groups without getting overwhelmed by everyone else’s messages.

Date, Time, and Countdown Features

You can also display the date or time along with your scrolling message! Feeling nostalgic? Set up a countdown to Christmas 2000 or any special date like your birthday or retirement.

Add Color-Cycling for Visual Appeal

If you want something more colorful, try out 'colour-cycling.' This feature smoothly changes colors as they cycle through different shades—perfect for adding flair (just make sure you're using at least a 16-bit color display mode!).

Email Notifications Right on Your Screen!

If you're using an email system like MS Exchange/Outlook that supports MAPI, Marquee Plus will check for unread emails while you're away. You can quickly glance at your screen and see if there are new emails waiting for you without having to unlock anything first! Just note this feature won’t work on Windows NT or 2000 due to security settings—so be sure to give it a test run first.
