Getting started with MakerWare is super simple. The installation doesn’t take long at all! Once it’s up and running, you’ll see a user-friendly window where you can pick different printer settings. From there, it takes you straight to the canvas where all the magic happens. The layout is clean and modern, making it easy to navigate through all its features.

Set Up Your Print Projects

Keep in mind that MakerWare isn’t designed for creating objects from scratch. Instead, it’s all about helping you set up your designs so they can be printed with your MakerBot printer. If you're just looking to prepare your project before printing, you can totally use the app on its own!

File Formats and Project Setup

You can start by importing different file formats like OBJ, STL, or THING. Once imported, your object sits in a virtual frame that shows the printer's working area. You’re free to add multiple objects to your project and move them around however you'd like.

Manipulating Your Objects

While MakerWare doesn't let you directly change the shapes of the objects themselves, you can still rotate them, move them around, or scale them down to fit perfectly in the printer space. Once everything looks good and your printer is connected to your PC, you're ready to create your project!
