MacIP Change is a handy networking tool made in C++. It lets you create and manage multiple profiles for your local network settings. This means you can easily switch between them without the hassle of digging into the Network and Sharing Center, which is super useful if you often work with LAN connections.
Setting up MacIP Change takes just a few minutes. The interface is designed simply, with everything laid out nicely so you can find what you need without a headache.
You can make new profiles by entering a profile name along with the TCP/IP details like IP address, MAC address, subnet mask, gateway, and both primary and secondary DNS. You can also turn DHCP mode on or off. Want to set up as many configurations as you want? Go for it! And if you change your mind, deleting any of them is easy.
With MacIP Change, you can see all the details of each profile right in the main window. Just choose your network interface, pick a profile, and apply changes with one click! Plus, there’s a backup option that saves your current settings to keep everything safe.
This software makes it straightforward to create different LAN setups so that switching between them is quick based on which adapter you're using. During our tests, it didn’t slow down the system or crash at all!
However, there are some things to keep in mind. It can't be minimized to the system tray for quick access via right-click menus, and unfortunately, it doesn’t support keyboard shortcuts either. Also worth mentioning is that it hasn’t received updates in quite some time. But overall, MacIP Change does what it's meant to do effectively!
