The MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017) with Touch Bar is a pretty exciting update that Apple announced at their Worldwide Developers Conference back in June. The event took place at the San Jose Convention Center, and it was all about showcasing the latest tech. This model got an upgrade to Intel's Kaby Lake processors, which means it's faster than ever!
This new MacBook Pro comes with a 50% faster SSD drive and a better Intel Iris Plus Graphics chipset. That's great news for anyone who loves to edit photos or watch videos on their laptop!
During the keynote, Apple mentioned that these updated models would start shipping right away. So if you're looking to upgrade from your older Mac, now's the time!
But here's a little hiccup: some testing showed that this new model was facing graphics corruption issues and stability problems. Not ideal, right? So, Apple decided to roll out a firmware update to fix these issues before they even hit the market.
If you own this MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017) with Touch Bar Update 1.0, you should definitely install this firmware update! To do it, just download it on your MacBook Pro and run the installer package inside the downloaded DMG file.
You'll need to enter your password when prompted so that it can upgrade your MacBook Pro's firmware. After a quick restart, you're all set!
If you're lucky enough to have this model, make sure you get that firmware update installed! It'll save you from any annoying system stability or graphics issues down the road.
