Luyten

Luyten is a cool open-source tool that gives you a user-friendly interface for the Procyon suite of Java tools. Whether you're generating or analyzing code, Luyten makes it easy to get things done. It comes as a native app for OS X, but if you prefer, there's also a Java-based version of Luyten available.

Manage Your Projects with Ease

With Luyten, you can open one project at a time. But don't worry! It loads all the resource files related to that project and keeps everything neatly organized in a hierarchy. When you look at the main window of Luyten, you'll see your entire project laid out clearly.

Visualize Your Code Effortlessly

Every time you click on a file, Luyten opens it on the left side of the main window, so you can easily see what's inside. Plus, thanks to its tabbed interface, you can have multiple files open at once—just like browsing tabs in your web browser!

Easily Switch Between Files

You can switch between files just by clicking on them or using the arrow buttons next to the tabs. And when you're done with a file? Just hit the close button like you'd do anywhere else!

Customize Your Experience

The status bar menus in Luyten let you change themes for your code panel. You can also adjust how you view the project structure and set up debugging preferences or even choose a custom debug language.

Built on Strong Foundations

It's important to note that Luyten is built on Procyon’s collection of Java programming tools and uses RSyntaxTextArea for syntax highlighting and code folding. This means you're getting solid functionality right out of the box.
