What is LTB-LIGHT FOR MAC?
LTB-Light
LTB-Light (Let There Be-LIGHT) is an awesome electronic tool that helps you calculate both natural and artificial lighting. It uses a cool method called color radiosity and works with a finite elements plan.
Easy to Use on Macintosh
So, if you're using an Apple Macintosh, you're in luck! LTB-LIGHT runs smoothly on it and makes use of OpenGL for graphics.
Powerful Data Management
This software comes packed with a strong internal CAD system that lets you manage your data right in a perspective view. You can easily add flat surfaces with colored glass, furniture, and even curved shapes like cylinders or complex objects like cross vaults.
Connects with Other CAD Programs
One of the great features of LTB-LIGHT is that it can share info with other CAD programs using DXF and PICT files. This makes collaboration super easy!
Manage Light Sources Effortlessly
The program allows complete management of light sources. You can import, modify, and display IESNA LM-63 photometric data files, which are commonly used in North America. Plus, it supports European standards like EULUMDAT! It can even convert drawings into photometry!
Calculate Lighting Levels
You’ll be able to control things like illumination levels, energy amounts allocated for lighting, and the correct positioning of light sources—like their type and power. Pretty neat, right?
Diverse Output Results
The results from your calculations will be presented in various formats: black-and-white, 8 colors, or true-color perspectives. You can see everything from illuminance to glare control—all tailored for each object in your scene.
Mapping Features Included
For every object you work on, LTB-LIGHT allows planar-projected mapping with value-mapping and curves-mapping options as well. And if you want to share your findings? You can print or export them as RTF text files or DXF files.
Tools for Project Optimization
This software also has some powerful tools to help optimize your projects! There's a 'CIE module' for pre-calculating needs for simple rectangular rooms and a 'Road tool' to find the best fixture installations based on pole distance and height.
