LoopRecorder is an application/plugin designed to streamline the process of creating and playing audio loops. Unlike other similar tools, there’s no record button you need to press. Instead, the input is always being captured, and the previous loop is stored temporarily so that you can save it when necessary.
Whether used as a standalone app or plugin, LoopRecorder is meant to be integrated into your existing workflow seamlessly. As such, most of the controls can be bound to your MIDI controller so that you can use your mouse as little as possible. However, when you do need to use the mouse, transferring recordings is as simple as dragging them to and from your DAW.
The plugin is compatible with most digital audio workstations, including Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Reaper, Bitwig, Studio One, and Cantabile. You can integrate it anywhere in the mixing chain and sync it with your host.
There are other features worth mentioning, such as automatic naming, built-in crossfades, and a silence detector, which minimizes necessary input while recording. Also, it features a resizable UI, supports up to 50 undo actions, provides a built-in metronome, can create overdubbed loops, and much more.
