Lookback aims to help you gather feedback for your applications, websites, or any other type of project. The app can record users while trying out your products, and the recordings are to be uploaded to the Lookback servers for easy sharing.
Before starting the recording process, Lookback offers the user the possibility to select both the video and the audio devices that are to be used to capture its reaction while testing a product. Keep in mind that both functions can be easily disabled.
Naturally, it would be great if Lookback would offer the possibility to select the window or screen area you want to record. This way the video size can be reduced, and you avoid wasting time cleaning up the desktop for each recording.
To view your recordings online, log in to the Lookback web console, but keep in mind that processing and uploading the videos can take some time. During our tests, none of the recordings have been added to the Lookback dashboard in the web app. To bypass any issues with the uploading process, you can choose to send the video by email, via Messages, or through other third party video sharing services.
Lookback brings to the table a very interesting concept: users can record themselves testing your products and post the videos online, thus enabling you to get first-hand reactions to your ideas. Moreover, you can use the app to create demo or tutorial videos for your apps.
