LiveGraph FOR LINUX

LiveGraph is a project consisting of a real-time graph plotter. While your application is computing and logging results to a CSV file using the LiveGraph Writer API, the plotter lets you visualize and monitor the results live by instantly plotting charts and graphs of the data. Developed in the academic domain, LiveGraph is being used for research on a daily basis. Being open-source, LiveGraph is absolutely free.

Components:

Data File Definition:

Defines data log files closely based on CSV format with additional extensions for data column headers and file descriptions.

Java Writer/Logger API:

Provides developers a fast and easy way to write data into LiveGraph CSV files, regardless of the programming language used.

LiveGraph Plotter Application:

Reads data files and plots data series on the screen, automatically updating graphs at short intervals with minimal computational resources.

This allows you to visualize application results instantly while it is still running, without the need for implementing data visualization algorithms. As a by-product, you are left with a complete data log that can be deleted if not needed.
