Sometimes, life is like a subtitle downloaded from the Internet; you never know what you're going to get. This is mainly due to character encoding. Even if you only use English subtitles, you've probably seen subtitles in other languages that look like something written by aliens with questionable aesthetics.
This can happen even to Latin alphabet variants with diacritics, so you can imagine how frustrating it is to be a native Persian or Arabic speaker and find only faulty subtitles for the movies you want to watch. Well, thankfully, there's a tool that can fix this issue.
LeoMoon SubtitleFix is designed specifically to fix subtitles written in Persian (Farsi) or Arabic. The program is portable, which means it doesn't require installation, and you can easily transfer the EXE file from one computer to another. This can be very useful when you save movies to a computer but plan to move and watch them on another device.
Simply drag and drop an SRT file into the main window, and LeoMoon SubtitleFix will create a new subtitle file in the same folder. The file will have the same name as the original, but with an added "_fixed" at the end.
The program converts an SRT file's encoding format from ANSI to UTF-8. While the former is usually used to encode the Latin alphabet, the latter is a Unicode format of variable length and can encode almost any characters, including those from the Persian and Arabic alphabets. Because it's so fast and user-friendly, you should consider getting this LeoMoon SubFix if you're a film buff but have trouble finding the right subtitles.
