Kindi is a handy little tool that works right from your command line. It helps you encrypt files so that only the person you choose can open them. And guess what? That person also needs to be using Kindi!
Kindi uses something called public key encryption. Now, don’t let the fancy name scare you! Unlike other systems that require certificate authorities or complex signing processes, Kindi keeps it simple. You won’t have to deal with managing certificates or keychains, which can be a real hassle.
If you've got a Google Gmail account, you're in luck! Kindi thinks that's enough to prove someone's identity. So instead of complicated setups, it creates self-signed certificates. These certificates are saved as PNG images and stored in special albums on Picasaweb.
If you’re ready to dive in and use Kindi on your Mac, detailed instructions are available HERE. Plus, if you're looking for a quick download, check out this link: Kindi for Mac.
Kindi stands out because it makes file encryption straightforward. No need for tons of extra steps or confusing tech jargon. Just download it and start protecting your files with ease!
