JetS3t is a free, open-source Java toolkit and application suite made just for the Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). It’s pretty cool if you’re into managing your data on S3!

What Can JetS3t Do?

The JetS3t toolkit gives Java programmers an easy-to-use API that makes it simple to interact with S3. You can manage your data like a pro without jumping through hoops!

Check Out the Applications in the Suite

There are five handy applications included in the JetS3t suite:

• Cockpit: This is a user-friendly graphical app for transferring files and managing what’s in your Amazon S3 account. Super straightforward!


• Synchronize: If you like command lines, this app lets you sync directories on your computer with your Amazon S3 account. Perfect for backups or keeping files in sync between computers.


• Gatekeeper: Think of this as a security guard. It runs on your server to control access to S3 accounts, processing requests from apps like JetS3t Uploader & CockpitLite.


• CockpitLite: This graphical tool can be offered by service providers to clients who don’t have S3 accounts. It helps users manage their S3 content easily—uploading, downloading, deleting objects, and more—all through Gatekeeper.


• Uploader: Similar to CockpitLite, but focused on uploading files to S3. It uses a simple wizard-based workflow but needs Gatekeeper’s approval first.
