Jeeves

Jeeves is a super handy tool for OS X that helps developers test their projects right on a local server. This means you don't have to mess around with connecting to any network resources, which is pretty cool!

Easy Access from the Status Bar

Once you launch Jeeves, you'll see a little icon pop up in your status bar. This menulet gives you quick access to all the main functions of the app. You can open specific resource folders or stop the server with just a click. Plus, it shows you the name of the folder you're currently using.

Viewing Your Projects

If everything goes well, Jeeves will automatically open your local host address in your default web browser. You'll be able to see the project you're working on! Just remember that you need to use the classic index.html format so Jeeves can find what’s in your resources folder.

Using JSON Commands for Advanced Features

What's neat about Jeeves is that it can recognize commands from a Jeeves.json file if you add it to your resources folder. This lets you use both POST and HTTP methods and more!
