JDiskReport is a straightforward Mac OS X application that provides the tools and features you need to scan your Mac’s hard disk and view the distribution of your storage space between files and folders.
The first time you launch JDiskReport, you’ll have to scan the volumes, hard drives, or folders you want to analyze. This process can take from 2 minutes up to 20 minutes or more depending on the size of your Mac’s hard disk and the files stored on it, as well as your computer configuration. Luckily, there is a progress bar that allows you to view how much time you have to wait until the process is complete.
From JDiskReport’s main window, you can gain an understanding of how your hard disk space is distributed among your files and folders. The top toolbar helps you navigate through your folders, return to your Home folder, rescan your hard drive, and sort the displayed data alphabetically or according to their size.
What is more, you can choose to show the disk space followed by the folder name or the number of contained files followed by the directory name. Plus, you can configure JDiskReport to display the actual disk space occupied by a given folder or the percentile value.
JDiskReport comes with three chart types and a table view mode that can help you visualize the space occupied by your files and folders on your Mac's hard drive. The Size tab helps you view the directories that require the most disk space, while the Top 50 tab allows you to view a list with the top largest, oldest, or newest files on your disk.
JDiskReport allows you to effortlessly and rapidly view the distribution of size in the selected volume, check the most used/modified files, and the distribution of file types.
JDiskReport is part of the HDD Space Analyzers download collection.
