Jarzilla is a super handy macOS app that lets you peek inside any jar, sar, ear, zip, or war file. It’s perfect for developers or anyone who needs to check out the contents of these archived files without a hassle.
If you want to see what’s inside an archived file, just drag and drop the jar file onto Jarzilla. You can also use the open menu to browse and view its contents. It’s really that simple!
You can make life even easier by setting jar files to automatically open with Jarzilla. Just right-click on the jar file, select Get Info, then go to Open With, and hit Change All. This way, every time you double-click a jar file, it will open up in Jarzilla.
If your jar file is executable, there’s a handy Run button that will launch it right away. No need for extra steps here!
Want to look at something specific inside? Just double-click on any file within the archive! If it's a Java class file, you'll get a neat decompiled source view along with an outline view. For HTML files, you’ll see both a rendered HTML view and the source code. Images? They’ll pop up as rendered images! And for everything else? Don’t worry; they’ll be shown as plain text.
