IvyGenerator is a free and open-source rendering tool that helps you create stunning gardens filled with poison ivy. It's super easy to use, and you can get started without spending a dime!
How IvyGenerator Works
The magic happens as the ivy grows from a single root. It follows different forces to create its look. First, it has a main growth direction, which is like a weighted average of where it has grown before. Then there’s some randomness added in, which makes it feel more natural.
Natural Forces at Play
There are also some cool forces at work: an adhesion force that helps the ivy stick to objects around it, an up-vector that mimics how plants grow towards light (this is called phototropism), and finally gravity! All these factors come together to make the ivy look really realistic.
The Goal of IvyGenerator
Now, the aim here isn't to create a full-on biological simulation of how ivy grows. Instead, it’s all about making it easier for you to produce complex and convincing vegetation that fits perfectly into your existing scene.
File Compatibility
