IrDA Remote Control offers control of your media player/center with TV-style Remote Control Unit via standard IrDA (infrared) port.

Requirements:

As the IrDA (infrared port) and TV Remote Control Unit (RCU) have completely different nature:

• Some RCUs may not work with the program due to lack of strict standards for RCU data type and data transfer protocol


• Some RCUs may not have full-scale ability for repeating commands, requiring manual emulation through multiple separate key presses


• Remote control distance of IrDA Remote Control may vary based on precise direction towards IrDA receiver


• Only embedded IrDA receivers are compatible, external COM port based or USB connected IrDA receivers may not work


• Computer should have no other active serial ports except IrDA


• IrDA device must be SIR type with a maximum speed of less or equal to 115200 kbit/sec
