Intelligent Wardialer is a "war dialer" used for auditing your PSTN (phone) network. Its features include random/sequential dialing, Voice over IP using the IAX2 (Intra-Asterisk eXchange) protocol, ASCII flat file and MySQL logging, a curses-based front end, key stroke marking, multiple modem support, several methods of "tone detection", save/load state, banner detections (to determine remote system types), and blacklist support.



"Intelligent Wardialer" features:




  • Full and normal logging records all possible events during dialing (busy signals, no answers, carriers, etc).

  • ASCII flat file and MySQL logging allow you to log to a traditional file or record information into a database.

  • Dials randomly or sequentially.

  • Remote system identification helps in identifying the type of the system when finding and connecting to a modem.

  • Key stroke marking allows you to manually mark interesting events by hitting a key and add notes.

  • Multiple modem support for hooking up many modems on UNIX.

  • Nice curses-based display for using from a Linux console or VT100 terminal.

  • Control over the modem's baud rate, parity, flow control, and data terminal ready.

  • Blacklisted phone number support to prevent dialing certain numbers.

  • Save state feature allows you to come back later and restart where you left off.
