Ini Translation Utility is a super handy tool that helps you translate and manage translated .ini files. These files are used by lots of multilingual programs online. If you've ever needed to work with language files, this software is your go-to!

What Can You Do with Ini Translation Utility?

You can easily use this tool for translating programs like Dynamic HTML Editor or even 9Desks. Plus, it works great with the free setup creator called Inno Setup! So whether you’re translating a small project or a larger one, this utility has got your back.

Getting Started

To kick things off, all you need is the file you want to translate. For our programs, it's usually named 'english.lng'. Just pick this file in the 'Main File' text field when you open the program.

Your Options for Translation

Once you're set up, you have three options:

• Create a new empty translation file.


• Create a new translation file by copying from the 'Main File'. This way, some sentences might already be translated!


• Maintain an existing language file by selecting 'Open the file to translate' from the File menu.

Your language file should have a name that matches your target language. For example, it could be 'italiano' for Italian or 'dutch' for Dutch speakers.

The Magic of Comparison

After setting everything up, the program will load your files and compare every sentence in the 'Main File' with its counterpart in the 'Translated File'. It highlights any sentences that still need translation!

Simplifying Your Workflow

If you're ready to tackle those untranslated sentences, just hit F3 to jump straight to the next one. You can double-click or hit Enter to edit and add your translation right there.

Saving Your Work

When you've wrapped up all your translations and edited everything that was highlighted, don’t forget to save your changes! The best part? This program can automatically use either an ANSI or UNICODE translation file based on what character set you chose while translating!
