There are 4 modules of IELTS tests, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening. Tests of all 4 modules are taken separately. The average score of all of your modules is your final score which is generally knows as Band. Total IELTS Bands are 9 out of which you are scored accordingly to your abilities. Generally 7 Bands are required to full fill requirements.
