When you start the program for the first time, you need to create a new profile by entering a fitting name and a password to protect your data. Once set up, you can start typing your thoughts, an eventful day, or ideas. The app allows you to import files in RTF, TXT, and IDF formats, or open other diaries that have the iDD extension.

Pages can be exported in RTF, TXT, HTM, HTML, and IDF formats, making it easier to access them in other programs. You can also copy and paste content from other documents, find and replace words, and search for text within the diary. iDailyDiary provides the option to hide different panels for a cleaner layout.

Customize the body content with different fonts, styles, colors, subscripts, superscripts, bullet and number lists, and more. Add pictures, hyperlinks, horizontal lines, and page breaks to personalize your entries. The tool allows you to back up and restore your diary whenever needed.
