Iconie

Iconie is a handy little tool for anyone working on macOS or iOS apps. When you're creating these applications, having the right app icons in different sizes is super important. Luckily, with Iconie, you can whip up all those required icons in no time!

Easy Access to Functions

The app is really user-friendly. You can find all of Iconie's functions right on the main window, which is split into two tabs: macOS and iOS. Each tab has previews showing you all the different icon sizes you'll need.

Different Sizes for Different Needs

The macOS tab will show you thumbnails for sizes like 512x512, 256x256, 128x128, 32x32, and even 16x16! Meanwhile, the iOS tab displays icon sizes perfect for both iPhone and iPad apps that fit iOS 5 or iOS 7.

Drag and Drop Magic

Using Iconie is a breeze! Just drag your source image over to one of the icon panels. Iconie will automatically resize it and create previews for you. Just keep in mind that you'll need to do this separately for both macOS and iOS tabs.

Image Requirements

A quick note: Iconie can only work with square images (same height and width). For best results with macOS apps, use images that are at least 1024x1024 pixels. And for iOS apps, try to stick with images that are at least 152x152 pixels. If your image is smaller than these sizes, don't worry—Iconie will upscale them, but just know that it might affect quality.

Exporting Your Icons

Iconie makes it super simple to export your icons once you're done! You can save them as PNG images into an icon set or even create an ICNS file. If you're using Xcode, you can easily integrate them into your Xcode Asset Catalog (just make sure Xcode is installed first).
