Iconer is a handy little app made for creating icons and toolbar bitmaps. It’s super simple to use and comes with two main modes: toolbar mode and icon mode.
When you hop into icon mode, you can whip up icons in either 16x16 or 32x32 sizes. You have options for 1, 4, 8, or even 24 color bits! Just a heads-up, it doesn’t support 32-bit icons or any sizes besides those two. But no worries; if you open an icon, it can be converted to the right format.
This mode also lets you create and edit cursors. Just keep in mind: there might be some hiccups when working with 32x32 8-bit color icons. So, make sure to make a copy of your file before diving in!
Toolbar mode, on the other hand, is all about creating toolbar bitmaps. The images you create here will be at 32 color bits. Similar to icon mode, you can also use an extractor to grab images.
The best part? This program is totally free for both commercial and personal use! If you want to share it with friends or colleagues, go ahead! Just make sure you include all the files that come with it.
