Selecting Your Verification Method

You can enter either a website URL or an IP address and choose from various verification methods like GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS, TRACE, or CONNECT. It supports both HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/1.0 protocols.

Customizing Your Requests

If your chosen method needs extra data, no worries! You can add a specific message in your request and set the content type along with the character encoding. The supported options include UTF-8, Windows-1251, Koi8r, CP866, and ISO-8859-1.

Timing Your Requests

IA-REST-test even calculates how long it takes to send your message and get a response back. This usually happens in just a few milliseconds! It's a great way to check if your web application is working as it should be. You'll see the overall response time right near the bottom of the main window.

Diving Deeper with Response Logs

If you want more detailed information about your requests, just switch to the Response tab. Here you can see all headers and their values as well as the HTTP code displayed clearly.
