http-analyze is a handy tool that helps you make sense of your web server logs. It takes a look at the logfile and whips up a summary report that's easy to understand. One cool thing about http-analyze is that it's super quick, even with large logfiles!
You can use http-analyze with any web server that supports the Common Logfile Format (CLF) or one of the popular Extended Logfile Formats (DLF/ELF). This includes servers like Netscape, Apache, and many others that follow NCSA styles.
The http-analyze project keeps up with HTTP/1.1 responses and the latest CORE top-level domains. You can get this tool in source form, so it can be compiled on many platforms that have an ANSI-C compiler. Plus, there are binary versions available for platforms like IRIX, Solaris, and Linux. There used to be a Windows version too, but it's not supported anymore.
If you're an ISP looking for custom stats reports or specific language interpretations, there's a commercial version with extra support available!
