Description
HDPT
The HDPT utility (aka "the Utility") is designed to give a way to make a backup copy of the hard drive logical structure. It works only in REAL DOS mode and it doesn't work in the command-line mode of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Key Features of HDPT:
- Save hard drive partition table with or without boot sectors to a file
- Restore hard drive partition table with or without boot sectors from a file
- BIOS Extensions autodetect (support for both old and modern computers)
- Support for large drives up to 127 GB
This Utility can be useful during operating system installation experiments. It is a good idea to make a backup copy of the hard drive partition table structure and boot sectors after the computer system has been configured. This little action can save your information and time in the future.
