HD QuickLook is a handy plug-in that helps you preview AVCHD movie files. With this tool, you can see a thumbnail of each movie file without opening it, which saves you time and makes organizing your media library a breeze.
With HD QuickLook, viewing the first frame of your AVCHD files is super simple! Just select a file and hit the space bar to get a quick look at what’s inside. You can even use the QuickLook icon in your Finder window to see it full screen. If you don’t see this icon, no worries! Just go to View in the menu and choose Customize Toolbar.
If you want to check out multiple files at once, just pick them all and start HD QuickLook. You can enjoy an index sheet or even create a slide show of your AVCHD files with just one click!
The whole process becomes way easier once you download and install HD QuickLook. It works smoothly with the Apple Quick Look framework that was introduced with OS X 10.5 (Leopard). This plug-in uses ShedWorx’s AVCHD converter to quickly generate thumbnails from the first frame of each movie file.
You might be surprised to learn that creating thumbnails from AVCHD movies can be pretty complex! It’s almost as tricky as converting the entire video into another format. But don’t worry—HD QuickLook makes it much faster since it only needs to convert that first frame.
