Hasher

Hasher is super handy for quickly calculating the hash of any file or text string using different algorithms. You don't need to wrestle with complicated tools. The results are easy to copy to your clipboard, so you can use them with other apps or services for security or whatever else you need.

Simple User Interface

The Hasher user interface is straightforward, consisting of just one window split into two tabs. The first tab lets you work with files, while the second handles text strings. To kick things off, just choose what type of data you want to process.

Supported Algorithms

Hasher supports three algorithms, and it generates results for each one. All you have to do is pick your preferred algorithm and hit the copy button—easy peasy! The utility will place the hash directly on your clipboard.

File Processing Made Easy

In the Hasher File panel, you can either set the file path manually or use the Finder menu to locate it. The app will grab that path for you, and you'll see it displayed in the right spot.

Your File Details at a Glance

Once you've selected a file, you can check out its name, size, and creation/modification dates. Just press the Calculate button, and you'll get your hash results at the bottom of the Hasher main window.

Working with Text Strings

The process is just as simple when you're working with text! Just type or paste your text string into the designated field. Hasher will count how many characters you've entered and generate the hash as soon as you click Calculate.
