GrowlLog is a handy, free plugin that works with the Mac notification system called Growl. What it does is super cool: it saves your notifications as an XML file wherever you want on your computer, or even to the console if that’s what you prefer!
Getting started with GrowlLog is pretty simple. First, you need to download the archive. Once it's downloaded, just unzip it and double-click the Log.growlView file to install it.
If for some reason it's not working right after you install it, don’t worry! You can fix this by deleting the plugin. It should be located in ~/Library/Application Support/Growl/PlugIns
. After deleting it, just restart Growl and see if that does the trick.
If you're still having issues, you might also want to check for another file. Look for ~/Library/Preferences/com.Growl.GrowlHelperApp.plist
, and delete that too. Sometimes clearing out these files helps get everything back on track!
If you're ready to give GrowlLog a try, head over and grab it now! It's super useful for keeping your notifications organized.
