GrabAll is a free and super simple app for Mac OS X that lets you take a screenshot of all the active windows on your screen with just one click. It can also grab all the icons from your menu bar, Dock, and desktop. How cool is that?
This handy utility hangs out in your menu bar. It has a dark icon that opens up a straightforward menu when you click it. But before diving in, you need to set up where you want all those screenshots to go.
After you've picked an output folder, GrabAll gives you two options: you can either take snapshots right away or wait for 3 seconds before it snaps the picture. And if you're into keyboard shortcuts, you're in luck! You can use Shift + CMD + ‘+’ or CTRL + Shift + CMD + ‘+’.
When you hit that button, GrabAll captures your screenshots in just a few seconds. You'll notice the screen flash while it takes those snapshots. Once it's done, it automatically creates folders named after the date and time inside a “GrabAll” folder at your chosen location.
This app is pretty neat because it captures all active windows (just from the current screen) along with icons of any active apps in your system bar and Dock. Each snapshot gets named after the program it represents and even includes its process ID in brackets.
Overall, GrabAll might not be fancy, but it definitely does what it promises! This app is super easy to use and quickly captures screenshots of anything happening on your screen.
