Description

GNOME Calendar

GNOME Calendar is a free and super simple calendar app made just for the GNOME desktop. It’s open-source, which means anyone can use it without paying a dime. This software was built to be a cool replacement for the calendar widget you see in the main GNOME Panel. Think of it as a fresh, stylish calendar tool that feels right at home with modern operating systems.

Features of GNOME Calendar

With GNOME Calendar, you can easily check out your calendar events from different sources, like Google Calendar! You can search for events, create new ones, and even set reminders so you never forget important dates. Plus, it offers different views like day, week, month, or even year—whatever suits you best!

User-Friendly Navigation

This app makes it super easy to see multiple events at once just by hovering over them with your mouse. You can create multi-day events too! Switching between months and years is a breeze, and you can manage all your calendars in one place.

Beautiful Interface

The look of the GNOME Calendar follows the Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) set by GNOME. This means it’s not only beautiful but also really intuitive to use! The main toolbar has everything you need: an event navigator, views for Week, Month, and Year, built-in search features, a calendar manager, and an app menu.

Create Events Easily!

You can create events effortlessly by right-clicking on any day in the calendar. Just fill out the details in the New Event dialog box that pops up—it’s that simple!

Upcoming Features

The final version of GNOME Calendar, which will be part of GNOME 3.16, promises even more exciting features! It will support iCalendar (ICS) files and let you add attachments and attendees to your events. You’ll also have alarms for reminders across different time zones and options for recurring events alongside Day and List views.
