Gisto is a straightforward and cross-platform application that makes it easy for you to store your snippets under one roof, manage and share them. Because Gisto uses GitHub’s basic structure, you will be able to access your gists either through Gisto’s interface or with the help of your default browser on the GitHub’s website. To start using Gisto, input your GitHub credentials, namely your username or e-mail address and password. Once logged in, access, view, edit, and share all your loaded gists within a well-organized and streamlined user interface.
Gisto’s interface features:
- A left-side panel with general file information
- A top toolbar for new gist creation and access to general settings
- A useful menu with direct access to main functions
- A preview window at the lower right side
Gisto allows you to categorize gists and keep them within easy reach by adding custom tags or dragging them into folders. Additional features include a revision browser to view prior gist changes and an ACE editor for easy editing with auto-completion and syntax highlighting capabilities. Gisto also facilitates sharing gists between users.
