Gestoos is a cool app for Mac that lets you control your Philips Hue lights and adjust your Mac’s sound volume just by using gestures. Imagine sitting on your couch and being able to change the lighting or mute the sound without lifting a finger!

Requirements for Gestoos

Before you get too excited, there's one thing to keep in mind: you'll need a depth camera to use Gestoos effectively. It helps with wirelessly controlling both the volume and lights. Right now, Gestoos supports devices like Microsoft Kinect, Asus Xtion Pro, Asus Carmine, and Structure Sensor.

Current Features of Gestoos

Gestoos is still in beta development, so it doesn’t have a ton of plugins available yet. But the plugins that are there let you manage your Philips Hue lights and Mac's volume easily. You can turn your lights on or off, change their colors randomly, or silence your Mac—all with simple hand movements!

User-Friendly Interface

If you want to see what gestures are available or pick which plugin to use, just check out the status bar slide sheet within Gestoos. It's super easy! Plus, there’s an awesome in-app tutorial that walks you through the gestures so you can practice before using them in real life.
