Select Your Save Options

First things first, you’ll need to choose where to save your data. Your options are either ‘Garmin Device’ or ‘Computer’. If you pick ‘Garmin Device’, it will try to find your connected device automatically. If you choose ‘Computer’, it will ask you to select a folder for saving the items.

Next up, select where your data files are stored by browsing through your computer. You’ll also get to name your new POI file and decide on measurement units like imperial (Feet and MPH) or metric (Meters and KPH).

Choose Your Mode

You’ll have another choice at this point: go with ‘Express’ or ‘Manual’. The ‘Express’ mode picks settings based on what you've inputted—this is usually the best option!

Processing Your Data

When you're ready, hit the ‘Next’ button, and Garmin POI Loader will process everything for you. It’ll let you know when it’s done and tell you how many points of interest got installed.
