What is GammUI?

GammUI

GammUI is a user-friendly graphical interface for Gammu, which is a command-line tool that helps you manage your phone. With GammUI, you can easily back up your phonebook, calendar, and todo list. It’s super handy!

Easy Setup and Clean Interface

Getting started with GammUI is a breeze. After a quick setup that should be no hassle at all, you’ll find yourself looking at a clean window with everything neatly organized. Just remember, you'll need to have Gammu installed on your computer first; otherwise, GammUI won’t work.

Connect Your Phone

Once you have GammUI running, the next step is to set up your phone connection settings. You can connect your phone to the computer using Bluetooth or infrared. Depending on how you want to connect, there are different protocols to choose from.

Selecting Connection Protocols

If you're connecting an old Nokia phone using a cable, you can pick from various protocols like FBUS/DAU9P or PL2303 USB. For other brands of phones, AT commands will do the trick! You can even specify which port to use.

Backup Your Data

After setting up your connection, it’s time to decide what content you want to back up. You can save calendar entries, todo lists, or contacts from your phone's internal memory or SIM card. Just point it to where you want those files saved and hit start!

Check Your Phone’s Info

If you're curious about what’s on your phone before backing up, GammUI lets you check out the calendar and contacts directly. Plus, it shows details like the manufacturer, model number, IMEI code, firmware version—lots of useful info!

No Recent Updates

A little heads-up: GammUI hasn’t received updates in quite some time and it looks like it might not be under development anymore. But don’t worry! It worked just fine during our tests on the latest Windows version.
