Fun Games for Learning Vocabulary

With Games Box, students can dive into various games that boost their English vocabulary. The categories are easy to understand and great for beginners. You can pick from themes like things around the house, family members, jobs, numbers, verbs, or adjectives.

Play Alone or Compete!

Some of the games like Millionaire, Jigsaw, or Hangman are meant for solo play. But others like Fastfinger, Three in a Row, Matchmaker, and Guess What! are all about competition—so grab a friend to play against!

Select Your Vocabulary Style

You can also easily switch between British and American English vocabularies. Most words look the same but watch out for some differences in pronunciation!

The Millionaire game shows an image instead of asking a question. You just click on the word that matches the picture! There are 15 tasks total and you can pause whenever you want. Jigsaw is a puzzle game where you guess the word based on pieces of an image—it’s super fun!

Fastfinger needs two players; each gets a letter on the keyboard. The first one to guess the picture and hit their key wins! Three in a Row and Matchmaker can be played alone too but take turns.
