Cleaning up your Mac periodically to remove logs, cache files, unused language packages, or temporary files can both improve your computer’s performance and free up storage space. Freshmac is a macOS application that aims to streamline the cleanup process: the utility evaluates your system, presents you with the results, and allows you to select the items that are to be removed manually.
Once the scanning process is complete, all you have to do is click on the “Fix Safely” button, and the utility will proceed to remove all selected items. Note that Freshmac allows you to review the list of cache and log files that are to be deleted and provides the path to each item.
Freshmac is designed to handle elementary system cleanup tasks such as deleting logs, cache, unused language files, emptying the trash, and removing browser cookies or history. You can also use Freshmac to uninstall apps together with all their resource files, remove temporary items, or review the list of startup apps.
It is important to understand that not all items detected by Freshmac are necessarily issues. You might want to keep certain elements like languages that are not frequently used, logs, or browser history. It is essential to review and select the items for removal based on your specific needs.
If you decide to remove Freshmac from your system, make sure to use another uninstaller tool that will completely remove all related files, including the helper tool that may remain visible in the status bar. Freshmac does not have a built-in uninstallation function for itself.
