FreeGuitarTuner is a super easy app that helps you re-tune your guitar strings. It uses the real sounds of correct chords to guide you. This software can fix the stretch on your classical 6-string guitar and has different pitch modes based on what music style you're playing.
The sound of a guitar string really depends on how well each string is stretched. Trying to tune a guitar by ear can be tricky since you have to remember exactly how it should sound. That's where FreeGuitarTuner comes in! It gives you the authentic sounds of a properly tuned guitar so you can follow along and tune your own instrument.
This app lets you hear the original guitar notes, helping you calibrate all six strings on your classical guitar. By default, you'll get to listen to the notes E2, A2, D3, G3, B3, and E3—starting with the bottom E2 note.
FreeGuitarTuner can play sounds at various frequencies and pitches for special audio effects. The different pitch modes are inspired by famous music styles like Baroque, Scientific, France 1859, New Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, or New Berliner Philharmonic.
You can play specific sounds whenever you want just by clicking your mouse! You can also set it to repeat a note in a loop. This way, you can easily re-tune your guitar string by string. Just turn on the Repeat function and let it play until you're ready for another chord or decide to stop it.
If you try to re-calibrate without hearing accurate sound samples, you might end up stretching the strings too much or getting the wrong chord. Luckily, FreeGuitarTuner gives you the original sounds for tuning according to basic scales and other pitch modes. This means you'll be able to fine-tune your guitar for all sorts of songs and tonalities!
