What is FreeBMI FOR MAC?

FreeBMI

FreeBMI is a handy little app for OS X that helps you keep an eye on your weight and health. Unlike some of those big, complicated apps out there, FreeBMI keeps things super simple. You only need to enter two things: your height and your weight.

What Does FreeBMI Do?

So, what’s the deal with FreeBMI? Well, it's not the most precise tool for figuring out your ideal weight, but it does give you a good idea of where you stand. It tells you if you're underweight, at a normal weight, or if you're overweight based on your body mass index (BMI).

Features of FreeBMI

This app isn't packed with features, but it does let you save your weight info. This way, you can look back later and see how far you've come in reaching your ideal weight goal. Pretty neat, right?

Using Your System Settings

Here’s something to keep in mind: FreeBMI uses the settings from your system to calculate everything. If you want to switch between metric and imperial units for calculations, you'll need to hop into System Preferences. Just head over to Language and Region, hit “Advanced…” at the bottom right corner, and change those measurement units.

A Simple Solution

Now don’t get me wrong—there's nothing wrong with this app! It works just fine and is designed to be straightforward. However, having a quick switch option for changing between metric and imperial would have been a cool bonus.

Your Ideal Weight Calculator

If you're after an easy-to-use OS X app for calculating your ideal weight and BMI quickly, FreeBMI is definitely one of the simplest options out there!
