This app is lightweight and really easy to use. You can even listen to the sound of a chord repeatedly, which is perfect for tuning your guitar properly.

Tuning Made Simple

When you start using FreeBassTuner, you'll notice that each string on your bass corresponds to specific chords without needing to press any points. For most bass guitars, the strings are tuned to E1, A1, D2, and G2 chords. If you've got a 5-string bass, it adds the B0 chord into the mix. With FreeBassTuner, you get authentic sounds of these strings every time!

Switching Between Modes

This cool software allows you to switch between 4-string and 5-string modes based on your guitar type. Just click on one of the chord buttons and listen! You can easily tighten or loosen each string until it matches what you hear from FreeBassTuner.

Fine-Tune Your Bass Guitar

What’s great about FreeBassTuner is that it gives you different frequencies to choose from for fine-tuning your instrument. You can pick from various pitches like baroque, scientific, France 1859, concert pitch, and more! Each pitch corresponds to a unique frequency.

Understanding Frequencies

The default setting plays at 440 Hz frequency. If you're in baroque mode, it's set at 415 Hz; Renaissance pitch comes in at 460 Hz. All other pitches are organized by their frequency in order so you can easily find what you need.

A Solution for Loosened Strings

If you've noticed that your guitar strings often get loose and sound off-key, don’t worry! FreeBassTuner is designed specifically for this issue—it helps calibrate your strings correctly by playing authentic bass sounds. Plus, there’s a Repeat button that keeps playing the selected chord until you're ready with the tuning!
