Once you fire it up on your Mac, Fotogenic lets you load any photo and dive into a huge selection of editing tools. Whether you're retouching, adjusting, or just having fun with your image, this app has got you covered!

All the tools are customizable! Just click on the Settings cogwheel at the bottom toolbar. This toolbar allows you to switch between sub-tools for even more options when editing your pictures.

Quick Preview Option

If you're curious about how your edited image compares to the original, there's an easy way to check. Just hit the preview button in the top right corner of the window. It’s super handy!

A Few Limitations

Now, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Currently, Fotogenic doesn’t let you resize its window. So, if you like having multiple windows open, you'll need to rearrange them or focus solely on Fotogenic.

When adding captions, you'll notice that scrolling through fonts isn’t as smooth either. You can only use up and down arrows instead of scrolling with your mouse wheel. A bit old-school but manageable!

Also worth mentioning is that Fotogenic doesn’t strictly follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. So if you've used other Mac image editors before, be ready for some differences!
