Foomatic-RIP is a native CUPS filter that coordinates the printing process for drivers built for the Foomatic printing system. The Foomatic-RIP package installs the necessary core runtime components (the foomatic-gswrapper and the foomatic-RIP CUPS filter) to enable printing with Foomatic machinery in Mac OS X.
NOTE: The Foomatic filters do not have version or revision numbers assigned. This software is current as of January 30, 2008. The Mac OS X installer version has been minimally incremented to allow for easy installation. The version of the installer does not represent the version of the software.
