FileTranslator

FileTranslator is a cool app powered by Microsoft Translator that helps you translate text between two languages. You can even load content straight from a file! It's super handy if you need to switch languages quickly.

Easy Download from Windows Store

You can grab this app easily from the Windows Store, but remember, it works on computers with Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. When you open it up, you'll see a sleek interface with a navy blue background and two big boxes where you can type or paste your text and see the translation.

Select Your Languages

To get started, just pick your source language and the language you want to translate to from the menus provided. One little catch is that FileTranslator doesn't automatically detect the language you're using. So make sure to select them yourself!

Translate Your Text

You have options when it comes to inputting your text: type it out, paste it in, or even open a .txt file directly from your computer! Once you're ready, just hit that "Translate" button and watch the magic happen as your new text appears in the output box.

Save Your Translations

If you want to keep the translated text for later, saving it is a breeze. Just choose a name for your new plain text document and pick where you want to save it. Plus, there’s a handy swap button between the input and output boxes if you need to flip things around!

Text-to-Speech Feature

FileTranslator also has a neat feature where it can read out loud what you've typed. However, during our testing, we found that this feature didn’t always work smoothly—it sometimes made the translator quit unexpectedly.

Screenshot Sharing Made Easy

This app integrates nicely with Windows share charm too! You can take screenshots of what's on your screen and send them off to other Modern UI programs or friends if you'd like.
