What is FileCryptor?

FileCrytor

FileCrytor is a handy app that helps you encrypt and decrypt files. This means you can make your files unreadable to anyone else, keeping your data safe and secure. Plus, if you ever need to access the original file, it's super easy to decrypt it back!

Logging into FileCrytor

To get started with FileCrytor, you'll need to log in. Just click on the 'Login' button or find 'Login' under the 'User Options' menu. Once you do that, a box will pop up asking for your password.

If this is your first time logging in, the default password is "abc123". Make sure to change it later so no one else can sneak in using that password!

Encrypting Files with FileCrytor

If you want to encrypt some files, just hit the 'Encrypt File' button or select 'Encrypt File' from the 'Encryption' menu. You can pick one file or even multiple ones at a time!

Decrypting Files with FileCrytor

Need to get back into those encrypted files? Click on the 'Decrypt File' button or choose 'Decrypt File' under the 'Decryption' menu. Again, you can select one or more files for decryption.

Encrypting Folders

You can also encrypt entire folders! Just click on the 'Encrypt Folder' button or go through the 'Encryption' menu. This will lock up all the files inside that folder, including any subfolders too.

Decrypting Folders

If you want to unlock a folder full of encrypted files, click on the 'Decrypt Folder' button or select it under the 'Decryption' menu. All files within that folder will be decrypted in no time!

Changing Your Password

If you ever want to change your password (which you totally should!), just click on the 'Change Password' button or find it under 'User Options'. You'll need to enter both your current password and a new one. Remember: Your new password must be at least 4 characters long but not more than 8 characters.
