ffDiaporama is an open source and cross-platform application that allows users to create home movies using both video and image files. It is compatible with the GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Key features include title creation, real time previews, image filtering, Ken Burns effect, as well as over 140 transitions. It is capable of importing GIF, PNG, JPG, BMP, PBM, PGM, TIFF, XPM and XBM image file formats. The video import functionality supports the MP4, MOV, AVI, MPG, M4V and MKV file formats. It supports a wide range of forms with composite background or gradients, as well as various filtering effects.

The application allows users to reframe images, cut video clips, add text and notes to photos, animations or sequences, create animated images using Ken Burns, zoom, rotate or move effects. It’s also possible to correct luminosity, gamma, contrast and color of image and video files during animations, as well as to add background sounds.
