Description
FF Password Exporter
FF Password Exporter is a handy, open-source tool that works across different platforms like macOS, Windows, and Linux. It makes it super easy to export your Firefox password database to a JSON or CSV file with just a couple of clicks!
Why Use FF Password Exporter?
This app came about because Mozilla's Firefox 57 (also known as Quantum) didn't include a built-in feature for saving passwords. If you want to move your passwords to another password manager, this tool has got you covered.
How It Works
The FF Password Exporter automatically finds all the Firefox user profile folders on your Mac's hard drive. That means you can convert your entire password database in one click!
User-Friendly Interface
This app features a minimalist design, which makes it easy to pick the password database you want to save and the file format for the exported file.
Select Your Profile
If you check out the Detected Firefox User Profiles drop-down menu at the top, you can choose which profile’s passwords you'd like to export.
Exporting Your Passwords
Before saving your passwords, you'll have the option to choose between CSV and JSON formats via the Export File Format menu right in the middle of the main window.
Add Extra Security
You can also enter your master password if you've set one up for securing passwords on the selected user profile before exporting them.
Custom Profiles Made Easy
If your desired Firefox user profile isn’t showing up automatically in that Detected User Profiles menu, no worries! You can specify a custom user profile directory easily.
Your Solution for Easy Exports
If you're looking for an easy way to export all those saved passwords from Firefox and transfer them over to another password manager, then FF Password Exporter is definitely worth checking out!
