FCOPY is a handy utility that helps you copy directory structures. It handles long names and attributes, even when you're sending them to different servers. Pretty cool, right?
Getting started with FCOPY is simple. Just type:
load fcopy [options]
If you're copying to a remote server, make sure you include the tree, user, and password options. The first time you use these parameters, FCOPY will save your user and password in a file called fcopy.pwd. After that, you can just use the tree parameter since it will pull your saved credentials from there. This feature is super helpful when working with cron jobs or ncf files!
load fcopy user:home/joe archive:homedirs -nb
load fcopy user:home/joe tdp1/user:home -t=tdptree -u=admin.org -p=pass -v
load fcopy user:home/joe backup:home -l=fcopy%y%m%d%c.log -ll=50 -lc=5 -tree=tdptree
