Family Health Expense Tracker is a handy little software tool that helps you and your family keep track of all those medical expenses. It’s super easy to use, so whether you're a tech whiz or just getting started, you’ll feel right at home managing your health costs.

Simple Installation Process

The installation process is quick and doesn’t require much effort on your part. Just follow the prompts, and you’ll be up and running in no time! The layout is plain but user-friendly, making it perfect for anyone new to expense trackers.

Requirements

To get started with Family Health Expense Tracker, you'll need to have .NET Framework installed on your computer. When you launch the app, it will ask you to create a new database. All you need to do is choose a name and a safe spot on your drive for it.

No Import Option

A bummer is that there’s no option to import an existing CSV, TXT, or XLS database from your PC. That would have made things easier! You can add new people or providers directly from the creation panel by typing in their names. If someone isn’t needed anymore, just hide them from view!

Add Appointments Easily

When it comes time to add an appointment, you'll need to fill out some basic info like the date of service, who was treated, the provider (like a hospital or family doctor), along with any notes you want to include. Don’t forget about payment details like billed amounts and insurance stuff!

Total Amount Calculation

The app does some math for you too! It automatically calculates the total based on what you've entered. You can set the status of each service (like waiting for bills) and even add extra costs if needed.

No Export Feature

At the bottom of the window, you'll see how much money is billed and owed. However, there's no way to export this data into CSV or XLS files—another letdown.

The Bottom Line

In conclusion, while Family Health Expense Tracker helps store records of medical visits and payments from different providers, it's not without its issues. During our testing phase, we encountered an error when trying to archive data—leading us only to quit or continue without saving changes.
