EZSwitch

EZSwitch is a handy little app for OS X that makes it super easy to sleep, restart, shut down, or log out of your computer. You can do all this from a compact menu bar panel. It's great because you can set up custom global hotkeys and even delay how soon the command kicks in.

Easy Access to Commands

Once you launch EZSwitch, you'll see an icon pop up in your menu bar. Just click on it, and you'll get a menu with all the options right there! You can choose from four actions: Sleep, Restart, Shut Down, and Log Out. Plus, there’s a fifth button that takes you to preferences where you can change how long the delay is (in seconds) or turn on/off the sound for when the countdown timer is running.

Countdown Timer Feature

After you pick one of those actions, a big interface will show up letting you know that your computer will restart (or whatever action you chose) after a set period of time. It basically acts like a countdown timer! And if you change your mind? No worries—you can cancel that command by just clicking on the interface.

Global Hotkeys for Quick Access

The cool thing about EZSwitch is that it supports global hotkeys for each action. However, there's a small catch: all combinations need to start with “ALT + CMD”. The third key is set by default but feel free to customize it if you'd like!
